Wow............was this bad. This story had the potential to be really good but the writing was terrible. The dialogue between the characters was completely unbelievable.
I liked the book. Although I wish at the end it would of told about the landing and how many survived. I wanted to see if
Kids all made it.
Great story but what happened to flight 1313? Did they make it or did they disappear or were they saved and if so how many survived...these are the questions we have yet to discover and yet that is why I give a 4 star instead of a 5 star review.
I don't normally read thrillers but I grabbed up this one and read it in two big chunks. You often hear the term good read. Well. THIS BOOK IS A GOOD READ. Realistic compelling dialogue and constantly had me turning the pages (well, flipping the pages on my iPad). Burton has a knack for hooking the reader. This would make a good TV or movie script too. Looking forward to the author's next book.
A commercial flight takes off from France, heading to the United States. With biological terrorists on board, the flight was doomed. In a few minutes after take off, people started falling ill, and eventually a third of the passengers are dead.

It would have been an interesting story as it has a good theme, but there wasn't much meat in it. Reading the last sentence, I was left hanging. So, what now? What will happen to flight 1313, to its passengers? Seems all that happened was the rapid spread of the virus on board and nothing else. Yes, there was that glimmer of positivity with what the president finally decided on, but then it was just that, a glimmer, as the story already ended at that point. Makes me surmise that Ms. Bourrage might just be giving us a preview to a full length novel...but I'm not sure that I would want to buy that, anyway, reason being there's still more that can be improved in her writing style.
Even at ten, my grammar was better. Furthermore, the plot jumps around too much, and as a result, one tends to lose the story line. I didn't finish the book.
This is a suspenseful book that will keep you wanting for more!
