The Drew + Fable series has been on my TBR pile for what feels like, forever! I finally took the plunge and purchased One Week Girlfriend when it was on sale and now I know what I was missing out on, and you know what… I am kicking myself! It was a heartbreaking read, but I loved seeing Drew and Fable grow closer and help each other through a difficult time, especially for Drew.

Drew was the one who approached Fable about accompanying him home for Thanksgiving. I could see that he was using Fable as a buffer between himself and his parents, but Fable didn’t mind because other than her payment, she was getting closer to Drew and was finally able to open up to someone herself. The attraction between Drew and Fable was there early on, their relationship grew gradually and quickly become intense.

Drew’s Father and Stepmother were interesting people. Drew painted his father as an arrogant guy, but I really think he does have Drew’s best interests at heart. His stepmother Adele, rubbed me the wrong way from the start… she is not a nice person at all!

Early on in the book I worked out part of what Drew’s secret was, and with little clues I knew what the whole story was before Drew and Fable did. It really saddened me to see what Drew had to endure and I just wanted to reach in there and hug him!

Monica Murphy is an author that I have become to enjoy. I have read her The Rules series and the first book in her Never Tear Us Apart series, and I continue to enjoy the way I get swept away in her worlds. One Week Girlfriend had heartbreaking moments, but there were sweet times between Drew and Fable that I loved. The downer for me… I didn’t realise that their story continued into the next book, so I need to get my hands on the next book soon!

I loved the story but the book was so short, it felt like I was missing out on a lot of story line. There was no prequel for Fable or Drew, it just started as them in college with family history problems. As I read, the histories came out but I just didn't like how short the story was. If I can read a book in a few hours, I normally don't spend money on it. I did love the book though and since the next one is longer, I do plan to read that one. This book had just the right amount of story, the characters were easy to connect with, wording was easy to read, the was some sex, some romance so it had everything I enjoy reading, just again, too short.
Okay I LOVED this book! Great concept of a story and loved how the author had both of the characters having their own chapters so we can see what they both think.

Fabel, is the town s___ with a bad rep. She works at the local bar and is a townie. She takes care of her younger brother since her mother is a alcoholic who never is home.

Drew is the famous football player at the college in the small town. He is a rich boy with a horrible secret he is holding on to.

Knowing Fabel's background he goes to her and offers her 3,000 to be his pretend girlfriend for the week and come back home with him for Thanksgiving. He needs a buffer so his step-mom will leave him alone. He hasn't been back to his childhood home in a few years and this year, he isn't wanting to go.

Drew is holding in so many secrets that have to do with his step-mom and him and about his sister, but he will find out that his sister isn't his sister....hmmmm I wonder what she is to him????

Can Fabel and Drew make it through the week, and will they fall for each other during the time they have together.

Unknowing to Drew, Fabel is a saving grace for him and helps him cope with his dark past. And surprising to him, she still wants to stay when she finds out what he is hiding.

This book was super HOT!!!!!!!! I was surprised to find out about the secret that Drew was keeping to him self...and then there is a revelation that is revealed at the end and OMG WTH!!!!

I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEXT BOOK, I'M DYING TO READ IT!

The writing completely sucked me in.

The premise was fresh - took a plot that has been overused but tweaked it slightly so that it was completely different.

It was unique and unpredictable.

Drew is sexy as hell. He's a star football player in college, comes from a wealthy family and keeps out of trouble. Appearances lead you to believe that he has a perfect life. Right?

Fable is a strong female lead. She works as a waitress at a local bar, has been around the block a time or two and has no idea who her father is. From the outside, you might think she is a shallow slut.

Looks can be deceiving.

This book stayed with me after I read it. I had a complete book hangover.

I wanted to jump into the book and drop kick Adele. And Drew's dad for that matter. While I'm making a list, let's add Fable's mom to those in need of an butt kicking. Sheesh.

When Drew and Fable get together in the most unorthodox way, they discover what's underneath the surface. And they realize that even though they run in different circles, they do have a connection. They get each other in a way that no one else does.

I love the chemistry between Drew and Fable. I love watching them grow.

And I will never hear the word marshmallow without thinking of this book or these characters.
